SINCLAIR GEMS RETURN POLICY & COMPANY POLICY

Returns or Exchanges

At Sinclair Gems, you may return your Sinclair creation purchased online for exchange or refund within 30 days following delivery. Please contact info@sinclairgems.com for return information.

If you are returning or exchanging your Sinclair jewelry piece, please ensure that your return or exchange meets the conditions outlined below. 

​

Sinclair Gems will accept merchandise for return or exchange only, if it is returned in pristine condition, unused, unaltered from its original condition in any way and in sellable condition.

​

If you would like to exchange your piece, you may exchange the purchased product for another product of higher price and will be charged the difference. If you exchange for another product of lower price, we will refund the difference. Gift recipients may request an exchange of equal or higher value.

​

Refunds will be made in the original form of payment.


All returns and exchanges are subject to a quality assurance inspection process before they are accepted.

Upon receipt, diamonds, colored stones and jewelry are inspected prior to the issuance of a refund or exchange. Merchandise that does not match our product data base will be returned or refused.

According to our sole discretion, we reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges of any merchandise that does not meet the above requirements.

 

Returnable jewelry is merchandise in its original and pristine condition of stock items that are available in our inventory (shipped within 10-12 business days).

​

Special orders are excluded from returns or exchanges. Special orders are specially crafted sizes of merchandise, that we don’t carry in our inventory, and may take 6-8 weeks from manufacturing until delivery. The full amount of payment is required up front to place the special order.

 

All Exchanges Are Final
All exchanges are final sale, no exceptions.

 

Repeated Returns

The number of returns made by customers are monitored. Sinclair Gems offers a flexible return policy, but continued returns may, at our discretion, lead to future orders being refused.

 

Note:  We reserve the right to exclude all custom design orders (Bespoke Creations) and all special orders of gemstones (Sinclair Treasures) from returns, refunds and exchanges.

All personalized and custom designed orders are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

​

All prices may be subject to change without notice, based on market conditions and currency fluctuations. 

 

Custom Design Orders
The Bespoke design process is highly personalized from sourcing the best gems in the international market and time involved for designers and master jewelers to work on the project.  

​

Bespoke Creations and special orders on gemstones (Sinclair Treasures) are considered final. Your final sign-off and acknowledgement is required before placing an order.

​

Bespoke services require a 50 % payment to get the creative process started, and the following 50% once agreed upon the customized design with the client’s consent to start manufacturing the entirely personalized creation. Custom orders are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged once the process has started.

​

Small changes along the design process are possible. New designs outside the first agreed upon design will be considered a new Bespoke order and are subject to a design change fee of $300. Sinclair Gems owns all design copyright and has the right to refuse or cancel any order.

​

The expected timeline for an entirely custom-made jewel of our Bespoke Creation service is between 4- 6 weeks plus international shipping.

 

Shipping Policy

Sinclair Gems offers fully insured complimentary 2nd day shipments. We charge for express overnight shipments upon request. 

​

All in-stock items are processed and shipped within 10-12 business days. In some cases, if not available in our inventory, it may take 6-8 weeks to create the special order. This time frame is required for new production and international shipping from manufacturing to delivery. We cannot be held accountable for delays on the carrier’s part due to severe weather or other unexpected conditions.

​

We ship domestically to addresses across the United States. Shipments are only delivered to confirmed residential or business addresses, not to P.O. boxes or hotels. We don’t process online orders for international shipping outside of the United States. Shipping addresses have to match the billing addresses linked to the credit card used for the transaction.

 

You must provide all required billing information to make your purchase. You confirm that all information you submit is accurate and you have the right to provide and use such payment information. Once the order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number. We fully insure each item during transit and an adult signature is required at the time of delivery. Please make sure that you are available to sign for the package upon delivery.

Shipping Merchandise for Return or Exchange
Merchandise must be returned or exchanged within 30 days from the date of delivery.

The Buyer is responsible for all return or exchange shipping charges and will not be reimbursed for the original shipping cost. To qualify for an exchange or return, all items must be returned in the condition received including all paperwork and original packaging.

Any certificates that accompanied the item must be returned. Missing certificates from gem laboratories are subject to a fee of $250 to cover the cost of re-certifying the gemstone.

​

All returns or exchanges are subject to quality inspection before they are accepted. We reserve the right to refuse the return or exchange of any merchandise that does not meet the quality requirements according to our sole discretion as described in this section.

​

We recommend shipping merchandise for return or exchange using insured carriers like FedEx or UPS for tracking purposes and recommend that customers request insurance to cover the full value of the shipment. If return packages for exchange are lost, stolen, or mishandled, we will not be held responsible for reimbursement, compensation, or exchanges. Returning packages to us safely is the sole responsibility of the customer. Sinclair Gems is not responsible for returns that are damaged in transit.

The customer is responsible for return shipping charges and will not be reimbursed for the original shipping cost. Sinclair Gems will, however, refund shipping, handling and insurance costs in case of an error on our side.

​

Be aware that normal shipping charges do apply to the exchange or return order.
 

Payments

All prices listed are in U.S. dollars.

​

We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover. We also accept PayPal and bank wire transfers. 

​

You must provide all required billing information to make your purchase. You confirm that all information you submit with your order is accurate and you have the right to provide and use such payment information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about how we use your information. For checkout with PayPal, please complete your Sinclair Gems purchase using information from your PayPal account.

​

We reserve the right to wait until all funds are cleared and received before we ship any merchandise. No cash, or cash equivalents, debit cards, personal or certified checks are accepted.

 

Bank Wire

A bank wire is a method of electronic funds transfer from one institution to another. Bank wires are available for all orders over $750 USD. All US orders receive a 1.5% discount with bank wire payment.

 

All bank wire payments are subject to a $35 USD processing fee by Sinclair Gems. After you place your bank wire order, Sinclair Gems will give you the account information you will need to provide to your bank in order to transfer funds from your account directly to a Sinclair Gems account. It may take a few days for your bank to process the bank wire. Once your bank has transferred the funds, Sinclair Gems will be immediately notified, you will receive a confirmation, and your order is processed. Order times may vary based on receipt of bank wire payment. If you have any questions about the process involved in a bank wire, contact your bank, or email us at info@sinclairgems.com. Please note, some financial institutions do charge a fee for bank wires, please contact your bank for more information. An ACH transfer is not the same as a wire transfer. Sinclair Gems does not accept ACH transfers at this time.

 

For billing of all Bespoke Creations and Sinclair Treasures gemstone purchases, we reserve the right to only accept bank wire transfers.
